A warm welcome from Milan
Milan is a metropolis that finds a perfect and dynamic balance between history and modernity. While it is considered one of the world’s fashion and design capitals, as well as a financial hub, Milan is also a city of culture and thought. While always looking towards the future, this Lombard capital lovingly preserves its prominent history, boasting spectacular museums and some of the most monumental churches in Italy.
Amid the busy city life, Milan also cherishes its history and traditions, starting with the church of its patron saint, Sant’Ambrogio, and the Duomo of Milan, one of the largest churches of contemporary Europe, holding more than 20,000 people, sporting its statue of the Madonnina on top. Extraordinary new neighbourhoods such as Porta Nuova and CityLife host world-class skyscrapers such as Bosco verticale (Vertical Forest) and Tre Torri (Three Towers).
Let’s not forget its luxury gastronomy, from traditional to fusion cuisine, nor the city’s wide-ranging cultural offer, from exhibitions to live shows, best enjoyed after savouring a classic aperitif. The city is teeming with restaurants and eateries and choosing what to eat will be difficult: from traditional to ethnic, vegetarian to tapas, gourmet venues to quaint trattorias with red and white tablecloths.
Experience for yourself the charm of Milan and the diversity of everything it has to offer.
