ESPEN awards 30 travel grants to young investigators under age of 35 (one per country) born after 01.01.1991 for outstanding original abstracts. Each grant is 500 EUR and is awarded based on overall quality and relevance.

Awardees must present their abstract in person to receive the grant (available for pickup at the speakers’ desk from 12:00 on Sunday, 6 September 2026, following the Sir David Cuthbertson Lecture). Payments cannot be made before or after the Congress.

Applications must be submitted as part of the abstract submission process. The application deadline is Wednesday, 8 April 2026, 23:59 CEST.
